Absolutely. Huron Yacht Club is designed for the whole family. We host family events throughout the year, and our dining room and facilities welcome members and their guests. Our motto, "The Friendliest Club on the Lake," reflects our commitment to a warm, inclusive environment.

The club typically closes briefly in early January for maintenance and renovation. We reopen in late winter to prepare for the spring season. The clubhouse and restaurant remain active outside of this maintenance window.

HYC offers five membership types: Active (21+, 1–2 members, full voting rights), Single (36+, 1 member), Transitional (21–29, for young adults), Junior (30–35), and Limited (October 1 through March 31). If none of these fit your situation, please reach out — we have additional options.

Yes, we offer both gasoline and diesel at our fuel dock.

Huron Yacht Club is located on the Huron River, just south of the Lake Erie entrance at Huron Harbor. Enter the Huron River channel from Lake Erie and follow it south. The club will be on your starboard (west) side, just past the Huron Boat Basin. For arrival questions, call (419) 433-3113.

Yes — there is a public boat launch directly across the river from the club.

Both sailing and powerboat members are welcome at HYC. We have active sail and power fleets, and our location on the Huron River provides direct access to Lake Erie for all types of watercraft.

The primary boating season runs from May (Opening Day) through October (Closing Day). The marina and lake are most active during summer, but the club is open and active year-round.

No, we do not offer winter storage or haul-out services at this time.
