A Private Club Built Around Community

Huron Yacht Club sits at the confluence of the Huron River and Lake Erie, just minutes from the open water of one of the Great Lakes' most beloved sailing destinations. Since 1955, this waterfront setting has been more than just a marina — it has been the backdrop for seven decades of friendships, family traditions, and some of the finest casual dining on Ohio's north coast.

Our membership is made up of boaters and non-boaters alike. You'll find lifelong sailors and powerboat enthusiasts, families who come for the Friday fish fry and stay for the live music, couples who host their anniversary dinners on the deck, and young adults who found the club through a friend and never left. What unites every member is a genuine love of this place and the people in it.

The club offers direct marina access through the Huron Boat Basin, fuel for both gas and diesel vessels, transient slips for visiting boaters cruising Lake Erie, and a full social calendar that runs from Opening Day in May through a New Year's Eve celebration each December. Whether you are here for the water or the warmth, there is always something happening at HYC.

Is the restaurant open to non-members?

Yes. Our restaurant and bar welcome both members and their guests. We're set right on the Huron River with views of Lake Erie. Reservations are recommended for weekend evenings and holiday events. Call (419) 433-3113 to reserve a table.

Can transient boaters dock here?

Absolutely. We welcome cruisers and transient boaters with available slips and a fuel dock carrying both gasoline and diesel. Enter via the Huron River channel from Lake Erie — we're on the starboard (west) side just past the Huron Boat Basin. Call ahead during peak season.
